Holidays: Travel sector suffers amid pandemic

(MENAFN)The travel sector has advised the prime minister to offer a “roadmap” to get people travelling again this summer.

A number of travel associations and businesses have written an open letter to Mr. Johnson asking for adapted backing to stop more jobs being lost and businesses going kaput.

It stated that “We urge you to provide a route out of the crisis for the travel industry”.

Mr Johnson will start his arrangements for facilitating lockdown regulations on 22 February.

Under the present national constraints, holidays are not allowed anywhere in the UK. International travel is controlled to necessary purposes, such as for work, medical appointments, or education.
