9.4 percent increase in transport investment in China


The fixed-asset investment (FAI) in China for the transport sector expanded 9.4 percent since a year ago in the starting seven months of the current year.

The Chinese Ministry of Transport said that the total FAI in the sector came in at 1.796 trillion yuan (USD260 billion) in the period.

The total investment in highways and waterways contributed the most to the total FAI having an inflow of 1.35 trillion yuan in the 7 months, a yearly expansion of 12.1 percent.

The transport investment in China increased 26.7 percent in July alone compared to the same period a year ago, 6.4 percent faster than the rise reported in June and showing positive expansion for four months in a row.
